oh, dang, just ran into a focus trap bug, if im replying to something, it'll bounce around between the Show more and the post itself, and i have to go around with Shift + Tab instead
immediately thought of just a couple weirdnesses /negative or shortcomings,
locale set to en_IE and yet it shows what appears to be a [m]m/[D]D/YYYY timestamp underneath the post currently being observed [im fairly certain i did see a DD.mm.YYYY timestamp somewhere though] [also not ideal but a bit better]
but! focus management seems so much better than my previous experience of sharkey, and it appears a lot better than a bunch of akkoma-fe equivalents too
and i also probably already forgot a whole bunch of positive features that really are worth mentioning maybe i'll get back to those at some point
but okay yeah so some things that should be relatively quick tweaks,
favourite/reaction and boost counts, need to be toggleable, reaction picker okay is sorta out there but the :shortcode lookup does work beautifully, so i guess that's a bit of a secondary issue, what else, oh right yeah there was nothing in the settings that'd suggest "don't load media by default and instead only show its alternative description" that sounds like something i'd want to poke at myself right away
@tidest yeah! global sound 0% seems to have kinda done that. i also like the fact that okay yeah it does show the li'l notification popuppy thing by default but it doesn't give you a loud notification badge that i have to interact with right away
also could probably just make some userstyles for now but could like actually implement some wellbeing options too that i think were missing from sharkey or i guess i should look into all the settings first
i mean it does look fun enough that i might actually consider hosting this myself too
maybe once i get tired of akkoma || when it blows itself up
i mean i do have a spare virtual private server now just waiting to host snac2 or gotosocial so once i have an experiment going on there i could just empty out the thing that currently runs the akkoma
