it is interesting that i've not seen a setting in raw editors to correct for lens distortion -> crop -> add lens distortion back with the same parameters used to correct it
i think lens distortion can look really good in some cases, but cropping kinda ruins the effect..
think i kinda also understand what makes bad lenses bad now
that vivitar... you'll get the focus right, have the aperture pretty closed in
and like, the whole picture is still just soft....
plenty of good glass to be had though, really do favor the super takumar, that's a good lens.. i should uv treat it, de-yellow that thoriated element

damn, i've gotten a lot better at this art in the past year
developed (heh) way more of an eye for it
not to mention editing skill
also catching glimpses of me from back then

it's been slow going, but damn i've changed a lot
complexion being a biiig obvious thing, like, my skin's cleared up so good
my hands though, prolly one of the more subtle changes, but one i really like the most
i can sorta see why most folks take pictures now, like the casual ones, the ones not intended as art
it's not really for the remembrance of the places they've been and the things they've done, only perhaps a little of that
but like, so it's easier to look back, find that trajectory they're on
see the direction they're growing in
i'm happy i'm going in one i'm pleased with :3
