@aura i feel like real cameras draw less attention, like your intent is much more clear
and like analog looking gear especially, almost like it's being broadcast 'i am doing an art'

@wyatt feels wild to me that anybody freaks out over someone telling their client to show them a little picture

like at that point, if one is thaat worried about it, use a server software that doesn't support it, picture can't be seen, problem solved 👀

don't think i've ever actually been wrenched though, except like, lovingly :3

it is interesting that i've not seen a setting in raw editors to correct for lens distortion -> crop -> add lens distortion back with the same parameters used to correct it

i think lens distortion can look really good in some cases, but cropping kinda ruins the effect..
