i ended up just setting the scale to an acceptable level
as i say, there was one program behaving especially badly (lite-xl 👀), and while i'm sad to lose my advanced text editor, none of the plugins were available for aarch64 anyhow, soo
/shrugs/

i really wish zed didn't go full bore ai mode, it was looking to be sooo good..

@ww scaling certainly is set up wrong, technical limitations and such... like, wayland native stuff scales great, but xwayland (though the one piece of software that was having severe issues i've opted not to use due to arm64 compatibility...)

i suppose it's not really something i should be complaining about, as it's pain i've brought upon myself...
i should really just scale correctly ^^'

@wyatt oh, yeah, you've got a point there... it's been a while since i did any css stuff ^^'
was kind of thinking to increase the point size as the dpi increases, but... i don't actually have any font sizing stuff in my css...
why should that sort of thing be automatic anyhow, leave it up to the user :3

sloppy, hand written css is so much more readable than generated css.. even if it's sloppy, it's a valuable learning tool

it's really good, like, i'll be poking at your css and possibly stealing a bit

about the only upgrade i could see to make from there is dpi dependent font sizing, but... there's like no sites i know of that do that and i could see it going quite wrong...

what is with 'modern' websites and wasting so much screen space on high dpi displays :/
