@eri it's handy in the cases i've used it when i know i'm just getting the one thing and don't want to go through the full cart at least in the cases where i've used it, it still gives options for delivery location and payment, sooo....
to each their own though, i will often times still go through the cart just in case
@Starcross you kinda won't.. they still have to pay for the digital copies, and they only get so many uses per payment
the way i could see it being a postitive for them would be to give the library metrics, and thus justification for staying around, being able to use a chunk of the city's budget..
@Paradox damn,, you've actually got a really good point there a dedicated digital audio player would sort that issue so hard and on top of that i wouldn't be limited to using bluetooth for the audio out
do you happen to use a dap? i know of a couple brands, but actual recommendations are worth so much more than online reviews :3
opus is magic i mathed it out and i'll be able to carry my entire (~400GiB) music library in good enough quality to not matter on my phone in ~50GiB
like, mp3 and vorbis were impressive for the same thing, but would almost take double the space and i wouldn't be able to have my whole library on my phone
@julia on iceshrimp.js (built-in frontend) and gts (phanpy frontend), it doesn't i think i've seen this work before on akkoma, but can't currently confirm
