@azrael @ww that kinda smells of freenet/hyphanet to me, esp the whole torrent-esque thing

having poked around with it a bit in the past though, it's a tad.. scary in there.. certainly Horrors to be found in there digging around long enough
it also wants to be always on, like torrents, but connecting remotely is possible, but likely best over a vpn/ssh tunnel
not mobile friendly in the least though, i think the project goes back to like.. 2000(?) and some of its design is definitely stuck there

@mir might be a little bit much but i've been using hydrus network for a decent while on my booru images and find it to be awesome

it does kinda do its own thing in databases and whatnot instead of making use of the filesystem, so there's a bit of lock in once it's being used... otherwise fantastic software
