ok, so that's really cool! basically two options for it, satellite communications (crazy to me that transmission can work with the speeds involved) and air to ground, which i hadn't heard of before, but basically the airplane hooks into the plain old cell phone network, if i'm understanding correctly
it's weird... having airline sponsored internet at 11km up, in the middle of the atlantic, going almost 900km/hour like, sure, i paid for it with my ticket, but like, i have no clue how this works...
@Paradox bit slow going, been on flights and in airports all day certainly learning why upgraded seats in aircraft is such a big deal.. economy on a full flight is a bit claustrophobic, but, how else to move so many people in the span of a vacation period :cirno_shrug:
other than being pretty bored, chatted with my parents a bit, wished my grandparents a happy christmas, that sort of thing, comfy stuff really
all this flying's going to be worth it though, my first time abroad! so excited
@ww given what folks an steam and the like have classified as visual novels, yeah, i dig it cyberpunk 2077 is indeed a visual novel with first person rpg elements
@ezri there should totally be a way to self host a site preview of what it was when it was linked to then like, a click through to visit as is today
wonder how difficult it might be to get internet archive's solution working on my own site :neocat_think: (mebby even integrate building it into my static generator workflow...)
