entirely beside the point @ww ah, i was taking it from a cultural and social awareness perspective, rather than an economic one
feels like so many don't realize that what what we do in the states has much further reaching effects than they seem to think

or like, that there's tens of thousands of years of interesting culture and history out there, not just the last thousand or so here in the states... so much more around the world than just the ancient civilizations we got taught about in history class...
take chinese and japanese history for example, it's so incredibly rich and like, not a whiff of it from school

like, if it's not germany or the uk, it's like folks here are blind to its existence... i suppose japan too, but those sorts are weebs and have massive misconceptions about it typically

@Paradox it is bomb, like second only to voltage in my opinion, a very juicy variant, kinda like live wire but more tart... if you find yourself in a maverick, that's where it is... i think they're replacing kum and go, but can't recall if there were any of either chain out east

makes sense that there'd be a kfc variant, pepsico owns it and pizza hut too

@Starcross i think there's also the aspect of physical books kinda being a pain in the ass... extend out to ereaders, those are expensive unitaskers, as nice as they are to read on...

it's not optimal, but reading can take place on a phone, and plenty of folks do from what i've seen over shoulders... though.. it does seem to be more common these days to just consume the short form videos and like... not even scroll the social media :/

@yellow if you've got a web server, there's a webdav sync plugin that might solve 1, works pretty ok
and it looks like there's even git plugins these days that might solve both, though i've not used it ^^

a remote git repository is easy enough to setup on pretty much any machine you've got ssh access to, webdav is a bit more annoying to get working...
