tech whinging @ww yeah, i suppose you're pretty right on that... it's more the marketing wankery i was being annoyed by
feels like everything anymore has 'ai' slapped on it in some way or another
like, in some cases (ai rice cookers?) it's just a pid loop, come on marketers, it's not that special

i suppose, i kinda feel that calling everything ai means that the curious have nothing to look for... i'd much rather precision over buzzwords if only for that

tech whinging why have we just assumed that any computer vision is 'ai' anymore?
like, machine learning, maaaayybe, but the likes of opencv can do so much without those modules

can we please stop calling any mildly complex algorithm 'ai'? it's become synonymous with magic anymore.. 'i don't understand what's going on, must be ai', ughhh

@ptrc oh, ouch.. and that isn't even that severe of an edge case
maybe it's just rose tinted glasses, but it feels like phone operating systems used to be less bug prone in the past...
they should just stabilize already and only make improvements on the backend...

@ptrc there does seem to be quite a number of keyboard related issues in ios26...
my big annoying one is offsetting ui elements that should be stuck to the bottom of the screen
it also seems to move around hit targets in somewhat unpredictable ways...

@halva and like, on top of that, it's been shown time and time again that 32 hour/4 day workweeks are better for everyone

it's bizarre that anyone would try to attach gender or hormones to something like this
we'd all probably be best off if we didn't have to work unless we desired to... i understand the world we live in makes unfeasible, but the point is still there
