it's a shame that (per that page) you can't get them any more.. i think i'd like to try it, probably would have, if i'd seen it available.. such is the way for food products, ever changing they are

a good raspberry, mmm! quite possibly the best food, and you already know my love of grapefruit and cranberries
it's kinda strange how growers seem to want to push fruits sweeter, rather than let the flavors shine...

i bring up red delicious cause it's the only cultivar that's like, actively repulsed me
might've just been a bad specimen, but i recall it being gritty, almost starchy, with little actual flavor to be had.. it's got great shelf appeal though

@Paradox quite a reasonable choice! tart, quite crisp, all around a good apple... not the best of desert apples, but really excellent for snacking

had you said red delicious though.. i dunno if i can trust anyone that prefers a red delicious apple on food matters...

@Paradox happened to have all three monster options available to look at, they're all the sugared kind ^^
it would've been really weird if they weren't, i generally quite strongly dislike artificial sweeteners, they just taste a bit off to me

i think it's cause they went for a fuji apple flavor, too sweet a cultivar if you ask me, give me a braeburn or cosmic crisp any day of the week :3

@Paradox well, yeah, i knew about those... i had them pretty frequently when i was really smol
as i recall, they weren't all that tasty, would certainly take a capri sun over those if it was available :p

nah, that was me being distracted and rambling
the original post was actually in reference to a bad apple monster i tried recently
quick review: i'd much rather have pipeline punch or electric blue, the bad apple is too sweet for my liking

@Paradox hmm... i suppose i would have lost the joy just a bit before the pandemic
sorta went from being a focal point to a constant background noise i think

also, other games that have been around just as long or longer, still getting updates, dcss, terraria and dwarf fortress
i kinda wonder why those don't feel quite so zombified

perhaps corporate influence? terraria certainly feels longer in the tooth than dwarf fortress and dcss to me, despite being several years newer..
