enough contact with cobalt can result in sensitization, basically becoming allergic to it for the rest of your life...

want to say that nickel and chromium can also technically do this, but to a lesser degree from what i recall

@Paradox we mostly use two kinds in my department, both two part epoxies
the primary one is hexion epikote, this one sticks the shell halves together, takes forever to cure and is the really toxic stuff
and the other is polyurethane resin, it gets used to stick in auxiliary components, like for alignment and whatnot when the mold gets closed, cures quickly and is still decently toxic

and, if it really is an epoxy and not a silicone of some sort, you don't want to be sticking your body parts in it, it's possible to get sensitized to, a bit like cobalt

tyvek suits are the kinda marshmallow looking protective suits you see being worn in movies and tv when they're working with biohazards and dangerous chemicals
they're kinda plasticy and get hot fast, but are important to keep us safe from the resins, not stuff you want on your skin...

@Paradox working nights for sure has its ups and downs... kinda messes with ones social life the most i think

i make wind turbine blades! glueing the half shells together, they're made of fiberglass and resin, at least ours are...
really big blades, some 80ish meters long, it's a decent amount of fun, but pretty hard work that needs to be done in tyvek suits and such

kinda wish my thigh complexion was a bit less intense but that's ok ​:cirno_shrug:​

as well, those sorts of getting the front of your clothing shots are super difficult to do by yourself with a normal phone lens, mad props to those that do it that way

edit: potential caveat is monitor/microphone arms, the frame around the desktop can make it difficult to attach them, if not impossible in some cases

was also considering ikea's lagkapten system for a long while, but price won me over in this case
