@Paradox we mostly use two kinds in my department, both two part epoxies
the primary one is hexion epikote, this one sticks the shell halves together, takes forever to cure and is the really toxic stuff
and the other is polyurethane resin, it gets used to stick in auxiliary components, like for alignment and whatnot when the mold gets closed, cures quickly and is still decently toxic
and, if it really is an epoxy and not a silicone of some sort, you don't want to be sticking your body parts in it, it's possible to get sensitized to, a bit like cobalt
