@Paradox yeah, that also makes sense, mirror shots don't get me grinning like an idiot though :3

by the way, a manual camera is one where all the exposure times, focus and aperture have to be set manually, no assists here (well, there is a light meter, but all the settings still need to be set by me)

actually i think i sorta figured it out, set up exposure and focus distance with another object at arms length
flip the camera and take the picture :3

@sasha it's a skill that can be practiced, like any other, for sure
i shoot digital a lot so it's pretty well tuned for myself, trick now is finding the really interesting shots ^^'

and you do photography? do you share anywhere :3

there's a bit of a weird mental shift carrying the pen-f vs my digital cameras
like, i don't want to waste any of the film, but my mind is going "ooo, that'd be neat" all over the place

really is a different experience
