@Paradox well, cowbells are distinct 'cause they make a sorta donk sound while normal bells, depending on the size go ding dong dong or ringy tinky tink
then jingle bells over there are just annoying past a certain size, but the little ones are kinda nice and tinkly too

where was i going with this? perhaps i should be a bell soundologist...
