@smolcasm if you're up for something quite different, you might give chimera linux a go
it's doing a lot of things differently from most distros, musl libc, bsd userland and using apk as the package manager
it's been really stable in my case, but you do end up using flatpak a lot more than other distros as there isn't a super huge amount packaged for it yet
