@Paradox oh i did too, i just lack the mental fortitude to remember all the measurements... metric is a nice power of ten situation though, nothing to really remember there

generally speaking, i do too, i don't mind it so much when there's no real harm to come of it, yapping about something is nice... it's hard to share a moment of silence over the internet...
for reference, when i'm asking about gossip, i tend to be in a tone slightly mocking those that can't get enough of it... all too often forget that intonation in my head isn't transmitted with the text :p
