@sand to host a few ads it looks like
a dot org domain costs less than a dollar a month from my provider
and static webhosting can be had for free in some cases

and like, it got you there, didn't it?
so, consider the not nerdy types that just want to get some of those symbols, they land there, get served ads, possibly leave a facebook comment, it's done its job :cirno_shrug:

i've seen a few sites like this before, much the same schtick
