turns out, whether you're taking from the dsi camera or the 3ds camera, you get exactly the same resolution, 640x480
however! the 3ds pictures have the added benefit of putting out an image from both lenses when using the rear camera, which, while not easily viewable in 3d on normal displays, you're still getting two slightly different angles per shot
and! with a modded 3ds you can disable the obnoxious shutter sound through a luma runtime patch making it more viable for casual or quiet space photography
it is a pain to get the exposure right as well, these cameras are absurdly light hungry
very fun camera for an aesthetic though :3
