@aurelia oh, wow you weren't kidding about memory usage there... honestly thought my first real sticking point would be disk throughput
at least, that's what fishpost was choking on a bit till it got moved (but that disk was painfully slow and a bit latent at times...)

i'll have to research into cgroups a bit, i think i recall it coming up in some discussions about systemd user services, thanks!
