admittedly haven't had the chance to try buckling spring or beamspring, so i don't quite know the monarchs of thock (you should still totally give box jades a go, for modern switches they thock good :3)

will say, the get something old argument doesn't hold as well for keyboards in my opinion, as they are, effectively, a wear item, and as they wear out and fail the old ones only get more difficult to obtain..
