things learned from the #gpn crowd:
simply logging one's substance use does not make it responsible substance use
"chaos" events relying on fomo and exclusivity for attention are leaning on capitalistic tricks and are thusly not about chaos
relying on fomo and exclusivity in that way only hurts those that really want to join, but can’t for some reason or other (not that i'd want to, personally.. infectious diseases are a nah for me)

events like this can be fantastic for socialization, especially in crowds that wouldn't see heaps of it typically.. but the way the ccc folks handle it.. it's not quite right
realistically they should be having more, smaller events that end up not being super exclusive or like, enabling more remote engagement.. that sort of thing

you're allegedly hackers dang it, hackers should seek to make things better, not worse
