@boghan me, literally planning visits three to four months in advance:
your logic is really sound though, it's rare that anyone can reliably schedule so far out in advance
i think a monthish out is the sweet spot really, lots of time for a given host to prepare if needed, plenty of time to find places to stay, things to do, all that good stuff
