whinging about work in general
kinda fucked up how
we can go to work
do our absolute best
making number go up
probably for someone we don't know or care about
and still get told to go faster
work harder
still do our best
and still get fired
just lose our job on a whim
not necessarily even by the one at the top
circumstances outside our control
still fired
still lose it all
now, i'm ok, i haven't been fired
but, i was thinking back, on amazon, when i worked for them
all the trainings... even got wrote up once for poor performance
while it wouldn't mattered so much to have lost my job then
i kinda bring that situation forward to now and like... it's bad
awful sweatshop that place was, thinking back on it
and like, most physical labor positions aren't much better from what i've observed...
i can't speak for mental labor positions... but i can't imagine it's much better...
the systems we've got in place are just... so fucked up
"don't do these things because you want to, do them because you'll literally die if you don't"...
