i think of the core cast, she's pretty great
like, all the core cast is pretty fantastic, very few actually 'bad' characters in that show if you ask me

might be construed that trixie or perhaps starlight aren't the greatest written when they first appear (possible the writers thought they'd be throwaway?), but they redeem themselves pretty well towards the end...
i'm really hard pressed to think of an actually poorly written character in that show, perhaps background characters, but even those shined in their episode....

@Starcross perhaps with one of those clamp on zoom lenses?
it's mostly difficult because the optical path is so short, often about 28mm or so on phone cameras, i even struggle a bit with my 16-300mm zoomie lens, but then it's exposure and camera wobble i'm fighting, not really zoom

@sand that's quite fair, i, for example, am not much a fan of it when it's the default on gaming stuff, like, give me a nice purple or whatever the manufacturers primary color is
would be really awesome if they did, like, fireworks sequences on big arrays of rgb leds, or sinewaves, perhaps even the classic plasma style demo, have it colorshift, stuff like that

i'm not sure mirrorless cameras would be feasible if it were the case, but admittedly, i've not researched into it at all
hmm... thinking on it though, your phone's camera sensor is pretty much always exposed to light...

@Paradox with DLSRs or mirrorless cameras if you take the lens off, the sensor is exposed, so body caps cover it up
dust on the sensor or mirror is super annoying
