sounds like a pretty bad time to me
i for one, like being able to leave my phone at home sometimes and absolutely refuse to carry cash

what you're proposing here only seems like it'd remove potential options, rather than add them
crypto is steadily becoming an option for those that want to use it in the states, i was in a restaurant that took bitcoin the other day, and cash is always an option for those that prefer it

why remove choice?

@Starcross i want to say they needed to be converted to the folder style install in some way or another.. this project might be relevant, perhaps mount the iso and it'll work?
alternatively you might be able to emulate a disc drive and have rpcs3 launch it that way? can't remember if it needs lowish level access for that to work though...

@Paradox yep, this might be another way i'm broken /pos
literally no difference in meaning in those objects for me, intuitively speaking (barring the noose, but that's an outlier)
socially speaking, i understand that they have their places in different contexts and give different messages to others
but if i was say, interviewing someone, if they were wearing a collar, choker or necktie would have very little bearing on if i hired them or not
and in some contexts, say, a wedding, a necklace and necktie totally have the same social meaning, they're just gendered differently

i guess, clothing to me, of any sort, is all function over form... though that has been changing somewhat lately.. hmm
even then, not as a tool to judge others, simply one to make me feel differently about myself at that moment

i'm strangely ok with tight, form fitting accessories anywhere but my neck.. bowties, neckties, and even dress shirt collars bring rather extreme discomfort.. to even imagine a latex necklace kinda makes me anxious

@Paradox what a bizarre phrase and meme, like i looked at the knowyourmeme 'corn cobbed' page and was just confused

i'm personally a big fan of collars and their tactility, without being stifling like a choker or loose like a necklace, the very fine adjustability is a big plus in my eyes
for me they do lack the association with ownership, they're, as i see it, just objects worn around the neck, like any other necklace... i think i can understand it a bit better when tags get involved... even then, similar in my eyes to a locket ​:cirno_shrug:​

i do have a custom sized choker planned though, made from paracord.. i'm hopeful that i can get the same tactile feeling while perhaps being a bit less uncomfortable for those that worry about such things... though i suppose braided paracord might still look too collarish for some....

didn't think that was due to be implemented till mid 2026... though i very well be mixing up ees and etias

country borders are so lame, we should be able to just.. go 'hey that place looks neat' and go there 👀
